Office & Industrial Packing Tips

Potter Move Manager will work with your to finalize a move plan that
incorporate all the equipment, materials and sequence necessary to
move your property, including files and libraries. This plan can
then be presented to your employees by your Move manager.
To pack to not to pack - Desks, bookcases, storage cabinets
and certain file cabinets are all in the "pack" category. Your Move
Manager can help you determine which items do not require packing,
such as vertical files, and which items must be packed.
Carton vs. Carts - Potter will supply your company with a
complete array of commercial move cartons, library carts and
computer transponders to accommodate your specific packing
requirements.
Tagging / Marking - Color, numeric and specialty label
systems will be provided to ensure all items arrive at their
specified locations. Color coding is important with some size
jobs. You want to keep it simple !
Label every item to be moved. If items are separated, all
parts or sections must be tagged.
Labels are pressure-sensitive. Apply approximately one
week prior to move; remove immediately after move.
Place labels on the SIDES of boxes – not on top or bottom of
box, you can't see them there when boxes are stacked.
Crimp corner of commercial label when applying to office
furniture. By doing so, labels are easily removed.

your move plan.
Scheduling - Adequate time for packing, shipping and delivery
are all calculated as part of your total moving plan.
